Touchscreens engage audiences.
The On The Go (OTG) Digital Navigation Network is a rider-centric source of information that targets both the tourist populations as well as local residents. The network provides up-to-the-minute transit service changes and directions, and drives retail traffic to nearby ‘local finds’ including entertainment, dining and shopping options.
- This digital network reaches riders at multiple entry points, including entrances and exits near turnstiles and fare collection, and along walking routes through the station.
- Centering on two main functions - real time commuter information and trip planning, the network was built with a ‘drive to retail’ focus, with kiosk locations in subway stations containing heavy tourist and shopper foot traffic.
- Upon activating the touch screen, tourists and commuters alike can be engaged to participate in various activities such as peer to peer contests or downloading apps associated with nearby retailers.
