Proximity Targeting

Proximity Targeting

What is Geofencing?

Geofencing is used for mobile proximity targeting, and works by placing a virtual perimeter around real-world geographic areas. OUTFRONT Mobile targeting accuracy has been third party validated at 95%*.

Geographic boundaries for mobile ad serving can be targeted anywhere in the US including:
  • Around OOH
  • Points of Interest
  • Zip Codes
  • Local Communities
  • Neighborhoods
  • CBSAs (City Boundaries)
  • DMAs (Broader City Boundaries)
  • Statewide
  • Multi-Market
  • Nationwide

Geofence retargeting can be included on any campaign at no additional cost, which means sending additional or complementary messaging to users even after they have left the virtual perimeter. This brings additional frequency of ad serving to users that have received the ad at least once.

Store Visitation tracking is also available as a no-additional-cost add-on for any campaign. This allows OUTFRONT to track whether those that received your ad visited one of your store locations. Store visits are tracked up to 2 weeks after campaign completion and can be calculated for individual store locations.
